Food Stylist Alison Attenborough

She has a strong flair for design as well as food, which has been a great asset on recent projects such as the style of Paulette’s website and the update of the Westin Chosun Bakery and product line in Seoul, Korea.

Based in New York, she works on a wide range of projects including: TV, film, commercials, cookbooks, and magazines. Alison is perhaps best known for her work on food and wine magazine where she has been fortunate to travel much of the globe using her prop and food styling skills.

Alison studied home economics in London and went on to cater parties for various private and corporate clients. The most interesting were traveling to large shooting parties on amazing historic estates. She also cooked at the prestigious Gidleigh Park Hotel for a year.

Her interest in food styling peaked at the tender age of 16, when she became aware of how gorgeous images of fine cuisine could be. During college and for a while after, she worked on a series of books called The Good Cook, published by Time Life Books. It was here she met such food luminaries as Richard Olney, Jane Grigson, and Elizabeth David.
