She was hired away by the Chicago Tribune, where she was a dining columnist (Tablehopping), a features specialist (who won the paper's Beck Award for best writing) and, finally, a food reporter for the paper's Good Eating section, which won a James Beard award her final year there. Her writing about food and theatre has appeared in Food & Wine, Vogue, Men's Vogue, Details, Elle, Black Book, and Departures, where she also worked as a travel editor. She cooks for her husband and stepdaughter on a regular basis, and has way too many leftovers in her refrigerator.
