Spicy Yum Yum Sauce for Grilled Steaks & Chops
D'Artagnan chef bio | Yield: Makes about 1¼ cups
This mayo sauce recipe is a staple at old school hibachi steakhouses. Sweet and spicy, we love it with charcoal grilled steak, chicken, and pork chops.
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons agave syrup
- 2 tablespoons warm water
- 1 cup mayonnaise, preferably Kewpie Japanese mayo
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha
- ½ teaspoon rice vinegar
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon sweet paprika
- Salt to taste
- In a medium bowl, whisk together butter, tomato paste, agave, and warm water. Whisk in mayo, sriracha, rice vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika; season with salt to taste. Cover and chill until ready to use.
