A cousin of the Trumpet Royale™ mushroom, the Nebrodini is only available to us because it is cultivated here in the United States. Native to the Nebrodi Mountains in Sicily, this mushroom is endangered in its nature habitat, where it was once a prized foraged food.
Grown in pristine and optimum conditions indoors, our Nebrodini mushrooms are meaty, earthy and almost sweet. They have a delicate texture, even though they are sturdy enough to be halved and grilled, like the Trumpet Royale.™
Both their pure white stems and caps are tasty, so there is no waste with this mushroom. Chefs love them because of their beauty, flavor, and the many ways they can be cooked and enjoyed. Sturdy enough to grill or sauté, the Nebrodini is a chef’s favorite. And it can be yours, too.

Cooking Tips: After opening, store any unused mushrooms in the box they came in or in a brown paper bag. Washing our cultivated mushrooms is not necessary and will change the texture. Simply trim the very bottoms and they are ready for use in your favorite recipes. Nebrodini mushrooms can be used in place of button mushrooms and make an elegant addition to roast meats, poultry, and seafood dishes, bisques, sauces, and stir-fries. They're also delicious gently sautéed with compound butter.
