DescriptionDescription & Details

Atlantic cod has been on dinner plates in the United States even before it was a nation. In fact, the fish was so popular with early New Englanders that Cape Cod of Massachusetts was named for it. Cod is known for its tender lean meat that has a mild, clean flavor and large, tender flake. It’s less firm than haddock and sweeter than Pacific cod. Our Atlantic cod is caught using sustainable line fishing methods, and no nets or trawlers are used in its harvesting.

Cooking & Serving

Cooking Tips:
Preheat an oven or grill to 400 degrees, lightly spritz fish with olive oil, sprinkle with freshly cracked pepper and sea salt. Bake approximately 12 minutes, or to an internal temp of 145 degrees. Squeeze a drop of fresh lemon juice over the fish and serve.

Cooking Methods:
Fried, Sautéed, Baked, Grilled, Boiled or Steamed

How to Properly Thaw Fish:
To protect the high-quality flavor and texture of your fish during thawing, you must remove the frozen fish from the vacuum-sealed packaging in which it is shipped. Details on best defrosting methods can be found here.
