Emily Nunn is a freelance food writer and home-cooking evangelist living in Chicago. She worked for almost a decade at the New Yorker magazine, where she was an arts editor covering both theatre and restaurants (she edited Tables for Two, the magazine's then new restaurant column). She was hired away by the Chicago Tribune, where she was a dining columnist (Tablehopping), a features specialist (who won the paper's Beck Award for best writing) and, finally, a food reporter for the paper's Good Eating section, which won a James Beard award her final year there. Her writing about food and theatre has appeared in Food & Wine, Vogue, Men's Vogue, Details, Elle, Black Book, and Departures, where she also worked as a travel editor. She is an occasional blogger at http://www.cookwolf.blogspot.com/, which has evolved into a book project to be divulged in the near future. She cooks for her fiancé and her soon-to-be stepdaughter on a regular basis, and has way too many leftovers in her refrigerator.
