Aleksandra Crapanzano, a food writer and screenwriter, has lived and traveled throughout the world, but it was moving to Paris at the age of eleven that ignited her passion for cooking. She studied literature at Harvard and directing at New York University’s Graduate Department of Film and Television, then went on to write for many of the best Hollywood studios, including Miramax, Focus, Fox Searchlight and New Line. Her love of food led her to start writing about the culinary world, first for The New York Times Magazine, then Gourmet, Food & Wine, Saveur and The Wall Street Journal. In 2009, The James Beard Foundation honored her with the M.F.K. Fisher Award for Distinguished Writing.
