If there is one thing D’Artagnan is known for, it's duck. This collection of six duck magret (half breasts) and six duck leg confit offers the two most popular parts (after foie gras, of course!) of the duck. Now you won’t have to decide between duck breast or duck leg confit, because you’ll have plenty of both to go around with the generous package of six of each. If you are not planning a duck feast, just stash them away in the freezer, and incorporate duck into your weekly dinner routine. Duck confit is a vital ingredient in cassoulet, but it's actually quite versatile. Put the fully-cooked duck leg in the broiler while you toss a salad and- voilà! - dinner can be ready in 20 minutes. Shred duck confit for quesadillas, tacos or tamales, or to add to a chopped salad.
Duck magret can be grilled outdoors or pan seared on hot cast iron and will be ready to serve in 30 minutes. Replace steak with duck breast (sometimes called "duck steak") for a sophisticated, yet simple, meal. You'll look like a culinary whiz when you serve duck to your friends and family.
The Duck Magret and Confit Combo provides 18-20 portions and contains:
· Moulard Duck Magret (6 half breasts, avg. ½ lb. each) · Duck Leg Confit (6 legs, 5 oz. each)
